The Old Parliament House Advisory Council is an advisory body appointed by the responsible Minister. The Advisory Council provides expert advice to the Minister and the Director on matters relevant to the role, functions and activities of Old Parliament House.

On 9 May 2009, Old Parliament House became the Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House.
