Venue hire and Café in the House
Several rooms at the Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House are available for hire to the public including the Member’s Dining Room, Member’s Bar, Senate and House of Representative Courtyards and King’s Hall. For venue inspections contact Ginger Catering, your House function and catering managers.
Ginger Catering operates Café in the House within the Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House. This fresh, elegant and stylish café and bar, with indoor and alfresco dining, is open seven days a week from 9.00am to 5.00pm. Happy Hour is from 5.00pm to 7.00pm on Friday evenings and woodfired pizza and bar snacks are served from 5pm on Friday.

Opening Hours
The Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House is open daily from 9am–5pm. We are closed on Christmas Day.

- MOADOPH is accessible from Canberra’s City Centre via ACTION bus routes 2, 3 (nearby King Edward Terrace) and 6 (front of building) on weekdays and route 934 (King Edward Terrace) on weekends and public holidays
Admission
Admission prices to the Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House are:
- $2 for adults;
- $1 for children and concession holders; and
- $5 for families.
- The price of a season ticket is $10 for adults and $20 for a family. A season ticket entitles subscribers to unlimited free entry to the Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House for 12 months, as well as discounts at the shop and cafe.
