In Marnti Warajanga — a walk together you will meet Indigenous Australians from the Pilbara region of northern Western Australia, and non-Indigenous people who have worked closely with their communities. In their own words they bear witness to momentous historical movements and reflect on their ongoing work for social and political change at a community and national level.

This exhibition is a Museum of Australian Democracy travelling exhibition in association with the Wangka Maya Pilbara Aboriginal Language Centre and Tobias Titz.

Marnti Warajanga — a walk together is presented in six themes:

  • 1946 Pilbara Strike
  • 1967 Referendum
  • Art and music
  • Speaking culture
  • Country
  • The Apology

The exhibition consists of introduction banners (3 copies available), 34 framed photographs, 1 DVD, small or large title banners, interpretative text, quotes, and caption banners.
