Australian Prime Ministers Centre Fellowships announced

Thu, September 22, 2011
by David Jolliffe

On 15 September 2011, the United Nations International Day of Democracy, Minister for the Arts, the Hon Simon Crean MP announced the six recipients of this year’s Australian Prime Ministers Centre Fellowships. Mr Crean reflected on how the Fellowships contributed to our understanding of democracy by encouraging researchers to examine the achievements of Australia’s Prime Ministers.

Recipients of the 2011-12 Fellowships are Dr Anne-marie Boxall, Dr Matthew Graves, Dr Cameron Hazlehurst, Dr Priscilla Roberts, Dr Keiko Tamura and Dr Auriol Weigold. The Fellowship program is in its fifth year of operation and supports up to eight Fellowships each year, with most Fellows producing journal articles or publications. Projects by creative artists or those involved in museum studies are also encouraged.

A copy of the media release is available at the Minister for the Arts website. A full list of recipients and their projects can be found under Current Fellows and Scholars.
