Be inspired by our Federation at MoAD Lego workshops
On 1 January 1901, the six self-governing colonies of Australia federated and joined together to formally become the Commonwealth of Australia. From the largest cities to the smallest towns, ceremonial arches were erected to adorn the nation’s streets as the people celebrated this important milestone in our nation’s history.
This holiday break you’re all invited to the Museum of Australia Democracy for a 45 minute workshop to build your version of a Federation Arch with Lego. Not only will the kids be able to create, build and design their own Lego masterpiece, they will also learn about the history and importance of Australia’s Federation.
