Can you help us find Ada Watson?

The Museum of Australian Democracy is searching for an image of Ada Jane Watson (nee Lowe), who was the wife of Prime Minister John Watson. The museum’s exhibition Mrs Prime Minister – public image, private lives features images of all the wives of prime ministers from Jane Barton in 1901 to Therese Rein in 2010. Except one.  So far, our search for an image of Ada Watson has been fruitless.

Do you know of an image of Ada Watson – ideally taken during John Watson’s short term as prime minister, 27 April – 17 August, 1904?  We would like to include her image in the exhibition to help share her story with our visitors.

If you can help, please contact the museum.

You can visit the Mrs Prime Minister – public image, private lives exhibition at the museum until 29 January 2012.
