Journalist

You are a journalist from the early 21st century. A journalist is a person who creates reports for broadcast, publication in newspapers, television, radio, magazines, film, and the internet. You consider the facts and find the ‘angle’, or the interesting events and personalities of a story.

You are to research the Petrov Affair and write the head line and two introductory sentences for the front page of a newspaper commemorating the anniversary of the Affair. You are also to select an appropriate photograph with caption to illustrate the article.

Length

Your work should be approximately 50 words in length, with a photograph and caption.

Other tasks

After you have completed your tasks, you are to work with the Historian and Social Commentator to create the front page of an newspaper from the early 21st century commemorating the anniversary of the Petrov Affair of 1954.
