Community & adult learning
Community Learning
The Museum of Australian Democracy is committed to the people and communities it represents. With a view to enhancing our engagement with our community we are currently preparing a Community Learning Strategy in consultation with internal and external stakeholders. The Strategy will be available in December 2010. For further information please contact the Community Learning Officer on (02) 6270 8230 or email info@moadoph.gov.au.
Family Learning
Come and explore the Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House. Inside an adventure awaits you.
Use the MoADventure Trail to find 11 special objects located around the museum. Match the wheel to the special objects and crack the code.
Take your answer to the Reception Desk to claim your prize. Good luck!
The MoADventure Trail is suitable for 5-12 year olds and takes about 30-45 minutes to complete. It is free after admission and can be obtained from the staff in King’s Hall.
Hands on Democracy
The MoADventure Trail finishes in Hands on Democracy, our designated family ‘hands on’ space. In Play Act Be dress up and recreate key events in our democratic history. In Make Say Do build a democratic city, leave a message, learn about making a difference in your community, listen to the story of Tiddalik the Frog and create an origami frog.
Lifelong Learning
The Museum of Australian Democracy is an ideal place for group visits. We offer introductory or specialist tours. Tours can focus on a particular area of interest for social groups or alternatively can address course requirements for higher education students.
