The Kitchen Cabinet located at the main entry to the Museum of Australian Democracy, is the perfect place for a quick lunch, catch-a-coffee, relaxed afternoon tea or just drinks on the front terrace.

Featuring Canberra’s very own regional produce store, you’ll find seasonal foods direct from local growers – including free range pork, biodynamic lamb and beef and dairy products from highlands. All year round the shelves are stocked with regional products from pickles to beers, from fine wines to gorgeous chocolate. Shop for unique souvenirs and Christmas gifts, pick up the makings of a delicious dinner, or to be tempted by delicious fresh-baked goods – The Kitchen Cabinet has it all.

After a venue to create a lasting impression? Ginger Catering will work with you to create an event that has the professionalism and attention to detail you expect.

With the capacity to seat from 20 to 500 and suitable for conference, small meetings, promotional events, cocktail parties, formals, dinners and weddings. Venues include The Members Dining Room and Bar, the majestic King’s Hall and Senate Courtyard.

Several rooms at the Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House, each with their own special character and charm, are available for hire to the public including the Members’ Dining Room, Members’ Bar, Senate and House of Representative Courtyards and King’s Hall.
