Tours and activities

Free tours of the Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House are a great way to enhance your visit and hear stories of the House. We also have a variety of self-guided tours and activities for kids and families.

Insight tours (45 minutes)

Take a guided tour with us, go behind some closed doors, and hear stories of people who worked here and how they made our democracy what it is today. Tours start at 10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm, 2:30pm and 3:30pm.

CABINET-IN-CONFIDENCE In the Cabinet Room (25 minutes)

Cabinet-in-Confidence takes you inside the Cabinet Room at a time of national leadership. Be immersed in a multimedia experience that brings to life historical issues faced by Cabinet Ministers. Tours start at 10:00am, 11:00am, 12:00pm, 2.00pm, 3:00pm and 4:00pm.

Self Guided Tours

What do Prime Ministers, parliamentary staff and others say about life in the House? Take an iPod Touch tour to find out. Collect from reception. Available in English, German, Korean and Mandarin. Free after entry.
