Cartoons about investigative journalism
Every year, the Museum of Australian Democracy asks a guest curator to select a series of cartoons addressing a topical issue in Australian politics. This year, Chris Masters has curated a small selection of historical and contemporary cartoons commenting on investigative journalism and the stories it uncovers.
Masters is one of Australia’s best known and most influential investigative journalists. He was the longest-serving journalist on Australia’s premier current affairs program, ABC’s Four Corners. He filed over 100 reports for the program and won five Walkley Awards. He is the author of several non-fiction books, including Jonestown: The Power and the Myth of Alan Jones (2001) and Flawed Hero: Truth, Lies and War Crimes (2023).
