History of Old Parliament House

Old Parliament House was the home of Australia's government from 1927 to 1988.

Kings Hall: a parquetry floor greets visitors, as they walk in to the spacious hall with the statue of King George V the main focal point. On either side of the statue sit two right-angled black leather seats for visitors to sit and take in the architectural details, including the pendant lights, clerestory windows and detailed geometric ceiling.
