Some of Kamsani Bin Salleh’s cartoons reflect on how artists of colour are treated differently based on race: in particular, how they are categorised and by whom. This cartoon shows the hypocrisy in the underlying structures of society. The black speaker is being applauded for saying race can be put to one side, at a ceremony depicted as condescendingly race-based.
