Teachers Working Conditions

In August Queensland public school teachers went on strike for 24 hours, their first strike action in 16 years. The state government had offered teachers an 8 per cent pay rise over three years, which Queensland Teachers’ Union members rejected. The union was campaigning for a better pay offer as well as improved conditions.
