Democracy in a Box is a free, reusable toolkit filled with civics learning resources designed for students in years 5 and 6.
Explore the fundamental principles of democracy and the importance of active citizenship with engaging lesson plans, picture books, games, posters and more.
Trial Democracy in a Box with your students
Year 5 and 6 teachers based in regional Queensland or the Northern Territory are invited to trial Democracy in a Box and share their feedback on this new program.
Successful participants will receive their free Democracy in a Box during Terms 2 and 3 of 2025.

Cost
There is no cost for Democracy in a Box or postage.
