Feeling Irrelevant

A man who is 'feeling irrelevant' stands with a briefcase in a hallway outside a 'Libs' room. On the 'Labor' side of the hallway there is blood, knives and a dead person. People fight and swear in the Labor doorway.

In the dodgy practice of ‘branch stacking’, people with little or no interest in politics are signed up to a party so that their votes can be used to influence preselection or policy. This cartoon features Michael O’Brien, Victoria’s Opposition Leader, looking on as Victorian Labor comes to blows in the wake of the branch-stacking scandal involving party powerbroker Adem Somyurek in June.
