The Perfect Storm

Cyclone Alfred was a severe tropical cyclone that hit just north of Brisbane on 8 March. Alfred left over 300,000 homes and businesses without power and caused severe damage to beaches on the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast. Peter Dutton was criticised for attending a fundraiser in Sydney and not being in his electorate during the storm. Anthony Albanese also attended a fundraiser on the night of the cyclone.
