All in the Timing

Two aliens land outside Parliament House. One says, 'We sure picked a helluva time to ask to be taken to their leader.' A sign reads, 'This week: Monday Nationals, Tuesday Liberals, Thursday Greens.'

Two weeks after the election, several parties confirmed their federal leaders within days of each other. David Littleproud was the first cab off the rank when he was re-elected leader of the National Party of Australia on 12 May. Next day, it was Sussan Ley’s turn, when she was elected leader of the Liberal Party. And on 15 May Larissa Waters became the new leader of the Australian Greens.
