This flower festival, join local artist Ineka Voigt for a painting picnic set amongst the historic Rose Gardens at Old Parliament House. Be inspired by the picturesque gardens and create an original artwork in acrylic paint.
This workshop is designed for adults of all abilities, whether you're a complete beginner to painting or hoping to try something new. Ineka will guide you every step of the way, from composition to colour mixing, painting techniques to finishing touches. Learn to paint from life in this supportive and social workshop environment.

- Arrive at the workshop 15 minutes early to set up your picnic and get cosy.
- All art materials provided.
- BYO food and beverages. Alcohol is prohibited.
- This workshop is weather-dependent, and refunds will be issued if this event is cancelled due to rain.

About Ineka Voigt
Ineka Voigt is a visual artist based in Kamberri/Canberra. She comes from a family of creative women who taught her to draw and paint. Working in gouache and oil paints, her typical subjects include gardens, flowers and still life. Ineka is committed to a daily creative practice that is joyful and expressive.
Ineka is an artist educator, and has facilitated dozens of creative workshops for adults and children across Australia. She enjoys painting outside and in the community. Most Saturdays, you will find her painting pumpkins and sunflowers at the Capital Region Farmers Market. This spring, she is delighted to be painting at Floriade 2025 where she will capture colourful impressions of the gardens.
