One month out from the Voice referendum, Sky News aired a report purporting to show ‘Yes’ advocate Marcia Langton saying that ‘hard No’ voters were ‘spewing racism’. David Rowe suggests high-profile advocates for the ‘No’ campaign, including the leading politicians in the Coalition, David Littleproud, Peter Dutton and Sussan Ley, and Shadow Minister for Indigenous Australians Jacinta Price, were comfortable with appealing to racist sentiments.
