Greens Infighting

In recent elections minor parties and independents have started to weaken the stranglehold Labor and the Coalition have traditionally had on Australian politics. Despite this shift, these newcomers are still occasionally viewed as small and inconsequential. This year, Adam Bandt and the Greens were prominent in debates on many issues: they took on the federal government’s housing strategy, its stance on the war in the Middle East and the various energy strategies presented by both Labor and the Opposition.
