Lovely Aurora

A long First Dog on the Moon comic talks about the joys of seeing Aurora Australis from their backyard. The final panel says, 'What a waste of a perfectly good planet.'

In May the Aurora Australis lit up the night sky with spectacular shimmering curtains of colour that were visible in Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia. According to the Bureau of Meteorology, the geomagnetic storm was the strongest in more than 20 years. After waxing lyrical about the beauty of the aurora, First Dog on the Moon brings readers rudely back to earth with his poignant final sentence.
