The United States’ proud history of peaceful transition between presidencies ended when a mob of rioters sought to disrupt the process of formalising president-elect Joe Biden’s win. Rioters, such as the headdress-wearing ‘QAnon Shaman’ were later identified and imprisoned, but concerns remain about the long-term impact on the country’s democracy.
