Looks Like a Case for the New Doctor

The current Dr Who actor, Ncuti Gatwa, and his companion, land the TARDIS in the Jurassic period, where a pterodactyl labelled 'Cumberland City Council' drops same-sex books and a library into a volcano. The Doctor says, 'My apologies! I could've sworn we dialled up 21st century Australia…'

In December 2023 Rwandan-Scottish actor Ncuti Gatwa debuted as the latest incarnation of the Time Lord Doctor in the long-running television series Doctor Who. Having set out for 21st-century Australia, our hero is initially confused by Cumberland City Councillor Steve Christou’s proposed ban on same-sex parenting books in local libraries, and wonders whether the Tardis has overshot and landed instead in the Jurassic Period. The amendment was passed, but overturned two weeks later after more than 40,000 people signed a petition, started by local grandmother Caroline Staples, to lift the ban.
