AI's Actual Hazards

A 3-panel comic lists AI's Actual Hazards. The first is 'Revealing Human Prejudices/frailties,' with a man attempting to search beautiful women and only coming up with blonde Caucasian women; then 'Threatening Fragile Human Egos,' where a woman laments the 'smart-arse, little, digital shit'; then 'Highlighting Lack of Human Discernment,' where people admire an AI version of the Last Supper, but with dogs.

Not since the invention of the internet has a technological advancement generated as much excitement and fear as artificial intelligence (AI). AI has frequently made the news, generating both excitement and fear. Many have embraced the amazing potential of ChatGPT, and similar products, even while expressing serious concerns about the misuse of deep fakes. Andrew Weldon implies that perhaps we should be worried not so much about the technology, and what it can do, but rather about the predilections of the all-too-human user.
