David Pope
David Pope grew up in Canberra and began drawing cartoons for the alternative press in the 1980s. He worked as a freelancer for many years, including at The Sun Herald in Sydney, before joining The Canberra Times as its editorial cartoonist in 2008. Pope has illustrated three books on Australian English for the National Museum of Australia, and a series of posters of regional towns to raise money for bushfire recovery via the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal.
