A First Nations mother gives birth. A doctor holds the baby. A police officer says, 'Guilty until proven innocent or something … scissors!' Beside them, another First Nations baby is in a small cage.

Kamsani Bin Salleh is descended from the Nimunburr, Bunuba and Yawuru peoples of the Kimberley region of Western Australia and from the Ballardong Noongar people of the Perth region. Bin Salleh’s distressing cartoon suggests that racial profiling of First Nations children by police begins at birth. He also challenges the idea that all Australians are born totally free and in control of their own destinies
