Glass Ceiling

Kamala Harris holds her fist high. Hilary Clinton says to her, 'Don't look up. Trust me.' Above them is a cracked glass ceiling, with a semi-naked Donald Trump wearing a crown and royal robe lying face down on it.

On 21 July President Joe Biden dropped out of the race and was replaced by his deputy, Vice-President Kamala Harris. On 5 August she was officially endorsed as the Democratic Party candidate - only the second woman ever to be nominated for president by a major party. The first was Hillary Clinton, who lost to Donald Trump in 2016. David Rowe uses his individual style to illustrate how Harris is contending not only with breaking the glass ceiling, but also with the Republican nominee Donald Trump, or ‘Me, the People’, as Rowe has labelled him.
