Outback Albo

Text reads, 'Back from the bush summit.' Treasurer Jim Chalmers asks, 'How was the North?' Prime Minister Anthony Albanese says, 'Hostile,' as a crocodile labelled 'NT Elections' bites him on the behind.

The Northern Territory went to the polls in August and voted in a new Country Liberal Party government with 17 seats - a gain of 10 seats. Labor retained four seats, but lost 10, mainly First Nations representatives from remote regions. The remaining four seats were shared between independents and the territory’s first ever Greens representative. The new government includes four politicians of South Asian and South-East Asian heritage, the highest number ever.
