After a mob of Donald Trump’s supporters stormed the US Capitol building in the wake of his 2020 election defeat and, given the criminal and civil charges he has subsequently faced, it seemed unlikely that he would survive to challenge once more for America’s highest office. But, as Matt Huynh’s cartoon shows, Trump re-emerged in 2024 as the Republican presidential nominee.
