Commissioner Holmes

The Royal Commission into the Robodebt Scheme, led by Commissioner Catherine Holmes AC SC, concluded on 7 July 2023, when the report was presented to the Governor-General. The Royal Commission had conducted 46 days of hearings, with appearances by more than 100 witnesses, including public servants, politicians and Services Australia customers who had been affected. The report made 57 recommendations, intended to avoid something like Robodebt happening again.
