Renewable Energy Transition Rebellion

Matt Golding re-imagines an incident on Melbourne’s West Gate Bridge in March in which three Extinction Rebellion protestors blocked traffic with a rented truck, then climbed the bridge and lit a flare. The protestors, who were seeking to raise awareness of the need for immediate action on climate change, were met with a hostile response from some commuters, angered by the two-hour disruption to their morning.
